Ayudar.

Okay.
Decision time:
I need your help.
Major.
I have to decide by Friday.
Opinions will be greatly appreciated.
Comments, texts, whatever.
And sorry I didn't do my usual cute highlighting, colored words thing.
I'm stressed and had a lot to say.
Anyways.
Here we go:

My two options this summer are:

#1. ST. GEORGE
I have been really blessed to have a father work at SkyWest Airlines. He has sweet hook-ups and discounted hotels. One of the things he has also done for me is put my name in for a job multiple times.
And finally, a job has come through. A lady named Kelly in the administrative services needs a secretary. She knows my dad's work ethic and said she would hire me, without an interview. All I have to do is show up and watch her work for an hour on Friday and say, "I want the job" and I have the job. From April when I get home to whenever I decide to leave. Bam. Major job. It will be anywhere from 5-8 hours a day, $10.10 an hour, opportunity for a raise.

PROS: I can go home this summer. I can hang with my family and my sister and Mags and not have to worry about missing them again over the summer. I also have the opportunity to get a second job and potentially make a lot of money this summer. And of course, I will be super tan when Fall 2011 rolls around. ;]

CONS: I would be making more money if I take option 2. Lots more. I also think it would be fun to live in Connecticut with my grandparents and experience life. I love the East Coast, and who knows how willing/capable they will be to have me in the future. Also, two of my best friends live in Connecticut and I could spend the summer at the lake with them. I could watch all my college friends leave on missions and party with them after work. Plus, if I go home now and work, I would have to go to CT next summer, right after my study abroad, to pay it off. Which would be 9 straight months away from m family. :[
Which leads into option 2....

#2. Connecticut
Again. I'm blessed. My mother was forced into moving to New Canaan, Connecticut when she was 16. 45 minutes outside of New York City. And like my mom, my grandparents are AMAZING people. They offered me a place to stay as I temp for big companies (basically filing and secretary work) in Stamford, a town about 10 minutes away, and as I nanny for my aunt afterwards. Basically, working from 8 in the morning to 8 at night. And when I say I would be making more than $100 dollars a day, I'm not exaggerating. It's actually closer to $150 when you look at it, between the two jobs.

PROS: I'm all about life experiences. And this is a great one. I've always wanted to live on the East Coast. Here's my first opportunity. I would be making some great money (fantastic actually) and I would have my tuition and most of my study abroad paid for by the end of summer. I would already have a second job too, that pays great. I would get to spend time with my extended family that I love. And of course, the best friends I've made up here are back there. Some of my closest friends are right around me. I can watch them go on missions and hang out with them all summer. I would only have to work until the first week of August too, and then I can come home for 3 weeks. Plus, think about how many cities I can visit on the weekends. NYC, Boston, Philly, DC....the options are endless.

CONS: Living back in CT is EXPENSIVE. Sure, i'll be living with my grandparents, but gas prices SUCK right now. I would be using a lot of that. And those weekend trips I just listed above aren't going to come cheap. Yuck. Also, my mom pays for little things like deodorant and mascara, and in CT, i'll be paying for all of that. Plus lunch every day and other things for the office. So. I may be making only a little bit more than I would in STG. I'm also away from my family and my besties during the summer. I'll miss one of my best friend's bridal shower and lots of mission farewells. I miss watching Tina and the girls from my ward graduate. And my skin will be pasty, pasty, pasty. Also, I will be working A LOT, so my only free day besides Sunday would be Saturday.

There are the options...what do you think?

Birfdays.

This week is a grand week indeed.
For without this week,
Two of my bestest friends would have not been BORN.
Fun week huh?
I am stealing Ashley Faldmo's idea and dedicating a blog to these beauts.
(Ironically, she's in this post. Go figure.)
So here we go....

#1: Ashley Faldmo.
Who couldn't love this girl?
She is amazing!
I met her the summer before college.
Bryn and her are besties.
And she moved to STG this summer to work at the good ol' Hurst store.

While we didn't hang out much in the STG,
We have up here.
And i'm so glad.
You won't find a girl more caring and lovable than Ash.
She's super into sports, which automatically makes us besties.
We watch super sweet games.
Like when #9 BYU beats #6 SDSU
Ash is always there for me.
Really.
For a girl talk or a rant,
Or just a chill movie night.
I love her.
She's one of my closest friends.
And i'm so grateful for our friendship.

#2: Aly Keller.
Aly. Aly. Aly.
This girl is SO much fun.
Really.
I met her during my second month at college.
And we've been tight ever since.
She is one of the most sarcastic people you'll ever meet.
But it's hilarious.
Really.
Aly is SO funny.

She brings her humor from all the way out in Connecticut.
I laugh every time i'm around her.
We do some crazy things together,
Too many to list.
Like bonfires,
Titanic dances,
Cookie parties,
PC trips,
And other little things.
Like salsa dancing,

And Ugly Sweater parties.

She's also just the best pianist around.
She plays beautifully.
I love Aly.
She's one of my besties.
Every time I'm with her, I have a better day.
Regardless of what's going on in my life.
She's just a ray of sunshine.
I'm SO excited to go back to CT with her this summer and party. :]
I'm so glad we've become close this year,
And the next years to come with her will be amazing.
For sure.

Happy Birthday to you both.
I love you so much.
Peace and blessings.

Someday.

Someday, I'll become a better:
* Student
* Homemaker
* Planner
* Organizer
* FHE advisor
* More clean roommate
* Sleeper
* Healthier person
* Daughter
* Friend
* Texting Instigator
* Listener
* Church go-er
* Blogger
* Overall person in general.

One day, I'll be able to stand up for myself.
Tell people how I really feel.
And not have to hide behind this idea that I'm always fine.
Or that nothing is bothering me.

One day, I'll be able to tell people no.
I don't want to do that.
Or I don't like how you're treating me.
Or treating my friends.
Or what you're saying to/about me.

One day, I'll stop being such a dreamer,
And become a bit of a realist.

One day, I'll stop worrying about the past and the future.
I'll live in "the now."
I'll stop worrying how other people think I look, act, or how "cool" people think I am.

One day, I'll worry about growing up.
And taking on responsibility for myself.
Start studying and getting good grades and a job.

But.
That day is not today.
And today, I like who I am.
I may not be perfect.
Far from it, actually.
But i'm having fun.
Living my life the way I want to.
Therefore.
Today, I am me.
And i'm glad. :]

And for this adventure?
One day.....well.
Maybe someday you'll know this story too. ;]

Experience.

Decisions, decisions.
They just keep on coming.
I've got a HUGE one coming up soon.
It will be interesting to see where I end up.
Gahhhh.
Life.
Thanks heavens for weekends and friends to party with.

"Each of us must grow up and leave the security of home and the protective care of parents to enter a world full of problems and challenges that reach far beyond our experience. As we venture out, we would like a ready source to tell us how to handle every situation. But that is not the Lord's system. It is not the design of heaven that we be rescued from difficult situations. Rather, it is the Lord's will that we learn to handle them."

Presidents.

So.
Not by choice, I ended up at home this weekend.
Wanna know why?
My parents decided to take off to Hawaii...
Without my siblings and me.
So.
What am I doing in the good old STG?
Babysitting.
I was quite frustrated with this at the beginning.
But.
I figured it was a $500 that was DESPERATELY needed.
Now,
I'm glad I came.
It was fun to hang with the family.
And the extended family.
But mostly,
It was fun to hang with this beauty this entire weekend.
She's my best friend.
And I miss her terribly.

Only 8 more weeks of Freshman year...
Bring it on. :]

Gummies.

Sometimes when Nutrition is boring,
You just need to entertain yourself with some gummy bears.

They battle one another for the sake of the Pure-Bloods not intermingling with the Mutants.

The mutants are fun to make, however.
They're scurvy survivors.
And delicious to eat.

Happy Tuesday.

Superbowl.

Last Friday's conversation:

Me: "Hi Mom, how's it going?"
Mom: "Good. So what are your plans this weekend?"
Me: "Uh....just chillin with the crew. Why?"
Mom: "So, you have no set plans?"
Me: "Uh....yeah. Mom, is Dad coming up or something? Cause i'll totally chill with him."
Mom: "Yeah. Something like that. So do you have any test this week?"
Me: "Mom, what is this?"
Mom: "What if you were to fly somewhere this weekend and wouldn't be back until Tuesday?"
Me: "I'm down. Where?"
Mom: "Uhh...."

So.
She leaves me hanging.
So I guess....

Me: "Dallas?"

And then it hits me.

Me: "WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL?!?!?!?!?!"
Mom: "Yeahhhhhh."

Heck.
Yes.
My uncle has some major hookups.
And the next thing I know, i'm in Dallas.
Watching the Superbowl.
And partying like a rock star.
SO amazing.
Worth everything and anything.
And it makes up for no "significant other" over Valentine's Day.

The sibs came with me...aren't they hot?

Adam Levine and Maroon 5 were there too. No worries.

And.
The Packers won.
Such a solid game.

Happy Wednesday.
