Nights.

As much as I miss Provo,
And as excited as I am to get back up (1 MONTHHHH!)
I'm gonna miss these summer nights.
And these STGers for a month.

Hollllllllla at your summer nights.

Julie.

4 years ago, I moved to St. George, Utah.
I had no friends.
Then a girl in my ward ended up taking me to soccer conditioning one early morning at 6 A.M.
And we've been friends ever since.

She was my first friend here in STG.
EVER.
Followed by our other bestie Ryan.
We went through everything in high school.
Soccer.
Rush/Club Soccer.
Friends.
Dances.
Boys.
Boys.
Boys.
Trips.
Boys.

Occasionally we went to California with our other bestie Ryan.

We did crazy things at SUU Camp.

EFY and Ward Activities were always enjoyable.

Spring Break '09= DISNEYLAND.

I can't tell you how many countless movies we watched in her basement Junior year.

She graduated with all of them and left me behind.

This girl was with me through thick and thin.
I can't tell you how many long talks and girls nights we had.
She's one of the few people who's seen every side of me and still loves me.
She's amazing at EVERYTHING she sets her mind to.
And I just love her to death.

Yesterday, she was married.
And it was the MOST BEAUTIFUL wedding.
I cried on multiple occasions.

Friday night before she got married, she called me.
And we talked for a little bit on the phone.
She told me this was our last conversation when she wasn't married.
And I hung up the phone and started crying.
My mom heard me sniffling and came in and told me to stop.
She said Julie wasn't dead.
Just married.
You know what?
She's right.
And I couldn't be more happy for her.

Jules.
I love you to death.
Happy marriage to you and Verle.
He's a lucky guy.
Have a blast in Cali.
I'll see you soon.

Love you. :]

Cliff.

Sometimes, your friends persuade you to go cliff jumping.
So you do.
And then they pressure you to do scary things...
Like jump off a 55 foot cliff.
And hey.
You gotta impress those cute boys.
So you do.
You end up in with bruises and cuts since you slapped the water so hard.
But you weren't a chicken.
So you're proud.
And the thrill was so amazing that you can't wait to go again.

Yeah.
I know how you feel.

Cliff jumping = my anti-drug.

Grand.

First item of business:
Happy 1-year anniversary to the blog.
It's been a grand year full of many sick times and post-worthy events.
Hopefully there are many more to come.

Second item of business:
I'm sorry I haven't blogged much.
I've been so busy with work and play,
I haven't even had time to take pictures.
Shocking, I know.
Usually i'm all over that.
I've been too busy playing soccer and flag football and swimming and hitting some sand volleyball,
I haven't had time to whip out the cam.
But here's one of the grand times we had last week.
I went with the South Dakota kids (Abs and Ben and Issac and Ash),
To Krave.
Saw Davis and Alexa.
It was grand indeed. :]

Third item of business:
Sunday I went to the Grand Canyon with the family.
Minus Brad.
It was extremely grand.
Windy.
But what a beaut.
Good times at the Canyon.

More summer adventures to follow. :]

Home.

"Everyone goes home after their Freshman year."
That's what Ray said to Ash and I last night as we were jumping on the tramps.
And it got me thinking.
I didn't want to be one of those people.
AT ALL.
I wanted to move back to my grandparents and work in NY.
I fought coming home every step of the way.
I was miserable the first week.
BUT.
I know there's a reason I came home.
I needed to learn how to work.
I believe I needed to spend one more summer with my family.
And.
I needed to come home to my friends.
I've missed them A LOT.
And so far, this summer has been great.
And we still have so many more crazy things to accomplish.
So.
Therefore.
As much as I miss BYU:
The atmosphere,
The roommate,
The dorm life,
The friends,
The late night talks,
The besties,
The crazy road trips,
The J-Hall boys....
I'm glad I came home.
It's been great.
Luff you all.
Peace.
Blessings.

Burned.

Events of life.
Work: 50 hours this week.
Workout: 3 hours this week (I NEED MORE)
Netflix: 7 hours this week
Burned: to a crisp from running the outdoor art show all day (it's HIDEOUS. It's not a nice smooth tan line causing one either).

Volunteering: at Ace Hardware (awesome).
Reception: beautiful.
Friends: reunited.
All in all:
Rachel is a beaut.
I'm a lobster.
And I love these people.
